Koht'aene’s Management Team collectively possess more than 120 years of experience in program and project management, construction, and administration. More than 70 percent of that experience involves government contracts.
Founded in 2004, Koht’aene was created to pursue vertical construction contracts. Since then we have increased our portfolio and are now a full-service general contracting firm providing a wide range of construction and related services including: design/build, vertical and civil construction, construction project management, construction project administration, and demolition among them.
Our parent company, Ahtna, Inc., established by Congress as one of 13 Alaska Native Regional Corporations under the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, has experienced solid, steady growth since incorporating in 1972. Ahtna serves more than 1,200 shareholders, manages a land entitlement of 1.7 million acres, and, when combined with its subsidiaries, employs more than 1,300 people nationwide. Ahtna specializes in government contracting, construction, pipeline maintenance, environmental remediation, surveying, facilities maintenance, administrative services and janitorial services.
Headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, Koht’aene continues to consistently expand its list of contracts and partnering firms. As part of our expansion, Koht’aene has developed branch offices in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Breckenridge, Texas, to better serve clients in the contiguous 48 states.
As a corporation—as a team—we offer a comprehensive set of operational and management skills that allow us to exceed contract requirements at every level on every job. Our commitment to deliver quality services is surpassed only by our commitment to customer satisfaction. We understand how these two concepts are intimately intertwined.
